Innovative Soil Programme
Prowse Agriculture would like to introduce their innovative and unique soil program. Our business Specialises in building healthier more productive soil. This program in conjunction with new application technology provides nutrients to the soil microbes and achieves the most fertile soil.
Many years ago the soil was balanced, after many years of using the land so intensely; the soil has been mined and depleted of a lot of its nutrients and has become unbalanced. Therefore our crops are suffering and the addition of industrial fertilisers has added to the imbalance of elements and microbial degradation in the soil. This can leave some soils bound tight and the soils water retention poor.
Our business begins its soil program by testing the soil and our lab provides an independent analysed of the soil. A qualified recommendation can then be made with the option to utilise the aerial or land application system. Our business specialises in soil fertility and supplying the soils needs to return your soil to its most fertile state, this will maximise production and nutrition to your crop or pasture.

The trace elements required by the unbalanced soil is calculated and supplied in the most available and where possible, non soluble form. The prescription of elements are 'micro-fined' or ground into fine flour and blended.
When applied the products are suspended in a matrix of water to make a slurry or paste. The microbial stimulants are added and applied in

the one application by land or air. Microbial stimulants help the microbes in the soil to work at breaking down thatch and making the soil nutrients accessible to the plant roots, improving their efficiency by way of the microbial activity.
The results of Prowse Agriculture's soil fertility programme have been spectacular to say the least. One dairy farmer in the area that has been utilising our program since 2007 shows a substantial increase in milk production, butter fat and protein, producing better quality milk. The dairy farmer recently won the prestigious Dairy Farmers Milk Co-operative regional Milk Quality Award.

A local beef farmer also on the program has seen a remarkable increase in beef production, better pasture and hasn't needed to drench or treat the animals for ticks or buffalo-fly. This farmer was able to reverse soil degradation and build top soil on unproductive ground with this program. |

Depending on how depleted the soil is, most farmers will see benefits from eight weeks after application, with visible changes in soil structure, softness, aeration and organic matter by no later than nine months. The program helps balance nutrients and builds humus and top soil in the soil profile, leading to better carbon sequestration, water retention and therefore better quality crops.
